Our client is an Australian-owned and family-operated company with over three decades of proven performance in the packaging industry. They supply quality packaging solutions across Australia and internationally, including glass and plastic bottles, jars, containers, closures, cartons, dividers, cans, flexible packaging and bulk packaging sourced from hundreds of manufacturing platforms globally.
We are currently seeking an experienced Storeperson / Forklift Operator to join their Gillman warehouse team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on warehouse role suited to someone who is confident operating forklifts and has previous experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Your responsibilities will include
- Operating counterbalance and reach forklifts safely and efficiently
- Using reach forklifts for picking and put-away
- Picking and packing orders using an RF scanner
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Receiving, checking and storing incoming stock
- Moving and stacking products safely within the warehouse
- Maintaining accurate stock and inventory records
- Ensuring the warehouse is kept clean, organised and safe
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current Forklift Licence (LF)
- Proven experience operating counterbalance and reach forklifts
- Previous experience in a storeperson / warehouse role
- Experience using RF scanners for picking and packing
- Experience loading and unloading trucks
- Good understanding of warehouse safety and manual handling
- Physically fit and comfortable with a hands-on warehouse setting
