We are looking for an experienced Freelance Technical Fashion Designer and Pattern Maker to assist with the development of our maternity, nursing and modest-wear collection.

This is a hands-on technical role. We need someone who can review physical garment samples, identify fit, pattern and construction problems, and clearly explain the corrections required to the manufacturer.

Responsibilities include

- Creating and updating professional tech packs
- Developing and adjusting patterns
- Reviewing garment samples and identifying sewing, fit and construction mistakes
- Conducting fittings and correcting measurements, sizing and garment proportions
- Advising on suitable fabrics, trims, zippers and finishes
- Preparing explicit factory comments and communicating technical corrections
- Ensuring revised samples are ready for production The ideal candidate:
- Has strong experience in technical fashion design,



garment construction and pattern making
- Understands grading, fit and production requirements
- Can physically inspect samples and confidently identify what has been made incorrectly
- Has experience working with overseas manufacturers
- Can sew or create sample garments when required
- Is organised, detail-focused and able to work independently

This is a freelance/casual position with ongoing work for the right person. Applicants located in Sydney are strongly preferred, as in-person fittings and sample reviews will be required.
