Bella Boheme is looking for an experienced, creative and commercially minded Fashion Designer / Buyer to join our team full time at our Blue Mountains HQ.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the future of Bella Boheme—working closely with our founders to develop upcoming collections, discover new styles and silhouettes, source beautiful prints and fabrics, and bring fresh ideas to a growing Australian fashion brand.

We're looking for someone who has an incredible eye, understands the balance between creativity and commerciality, and genuinely gets excited about creating collections women want to wear.

The Role

You'll work across the design and buying process, helping take our collections from initial inspiration and concept through to finished product.

Working closely with the Bella Boheme founders, suppliers and wider creative team, you'll help shape future ranges while ensuring every piece feels unmistakably Bella Boheme.

Your role will include

- Working closely with our founders to conceptualise and develop future Bella Boheme collections

- Researching upcoming fashion, colour, print and lifestyle trends

- Identifying new styles, silhouettes and product opportunities

- Sourcing and developing exclusive prints, fabrics, trims and colourways

- Creating collection concepts, moodboards and range direction

- Building cohesive ranges that balance statement pieces with strong commercial sellers

- Working directly with local and international suppliers

- Sourcing new suppliers, products and manufacturing opportunities

- Communicating design briefs, specifications and amendments to suppliers

- Reviewing samples and providing clear feedback throughout the development process

- Managing fit, fabrication, colour and design changes through sampling

- Working across seasonal range planning and collection timelines





- Reviewing previous product performance and using sales insights to inform future buying and design decisions

- Identifying gaps and opportunities within upcoming ranges

- Working closely with our marketing and creative teams to communicate the story and inspiration behind each collection

- Ensuring collections remain true to the Bella Boheme aesthetic while continuing to evolve the brand

About You

We're looking for someone with a strong fashion background who can bring both creative vision and commercial thinking to the role.

You'll ideally have

- Previous experience in fashion design, buying, product development or a similar apparel role
- A strong understanding of women's fashion and garment construction
- An exceptional eye for colour, print, fabrication and silhouette

- Experience developing fashion ranges from concept through to production

- Experience working directly with suppliers and manufacturers

- Confidence sourcing fabrics, prints and new product
- An understanding of costing, margins and commercially viable product development

- Strong trend forecasting and fashion research skills
- The ability to understand sales data and translate it into future product decisions

- Excellent organisation and time-management skills

- Strong communication skills and confidence managing supplier relationships
- The ability to manage multiple collections and development timelines simultaneously
- A collaborative personality and willingness to work closely with our founders and wider team
