Full Stack Developer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to design, develop and support scalable software solutions across a complex retail technology environment.

You will work closely with Product, Platform, Infrastructure, Security, DevOps and external vendors to deliver secure and reliable applications and services. This is a hands on position that also provides technical leadership, mentoring and input into the organisation's technology roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, integrate, deploy and support complex software applications and services
- Take ownership of medium to high complexity features from design through to production support
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, microservices and event driven solutions
- Integrate applications with POS systems, payment gateways, inventory platforms and ERP systems
- Develop modern user interfaces using Blazor, React or Angular
- Design and optimise SQL databases supporting high volume retail transactions
- Produce and review functional and technical designs covering security, performance, scalability, availability and supportability
- Manage the full lifecycle of COTS applications, including evaluation, implementation, integration, upgrades, patching, customisation and retirement




- Apply secure coding and DevSecOps practices throughout the development lifecycle
- Ensure solutions meet requirements relating to API protection, encryption, identity management, data security and PCI compliance

Technical Skills and Experience

- Strong commercial experience with C#, .NET Core, .NET 8, ASP.NET Core Web API and Blazor
- Front end development experience using React or Angular
- Robust experience with Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions and Azure API Management
- Experience with Azure SQL and Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience developing RESTful and event driven APIs
- Experience with Postman and API management platforms such as Apigee
- Experience delivering ETL and data integration solutions using Azure Data Factory and SQL
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
- Strong understanding of OWASP, ISO 27001, IAM, encryption and secure communication

Desirable Experience

- Experience supporting retail systems, ecommerce platforms or FMCG environments
- Experience integrating POS, payment, inventory or ERP platforms
- Microsoft Azure certifications, such as Azure Solutions Architect
- Exposure to Android mobile applications, Android MDM and SOTI
- Exposure to Oracle PL/SQL
