Job Details

Employment Type: Temporary Full Time up until 14 March 2027. This position is full time; however, part time/job share arrangements may also be considered.

Position Classification: Registered Nurse

Remuneration: 81748.17 - 114771.98 full-time equivalent base salary range (+12% super + 17.5% leave loading and salary packaging)

Hours Per Week: up to 38

The Sydney Children's Hospital Network is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the team on Wade Ward. Wade ward is a 15-bed inpatient adolescent unit, specialising in the provision of developmentally appropriate care for young people with a range of medical, surgical, and psychological conditions.

Wade ward provides an adolescent friendly environment, where young people with complex or chronic illness can develop self-management skills in preparation for transition to adult services. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their nursing skills in a supported environment,



working with adolescents with a range of medical and psychosocial needs.

What you'll be doing

The Registered Nurse provides protected, compassionate, person-centred care to patients and families of Sydney Children's Hospital Network.

The Registered Nurse acts as a role model by demonstrating behaviour and interacting with patients, their families and employees in a way that promotes a culture and standards that reflect the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.

Requirements

- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Current Acute Nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- Capacity to work a seven (7) day rotating roster including public holidays.
