Maintenance & Facilities Coordinator (Manufacturing)

About the role

Electrical trade background. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance & Facilities Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of Tate's manufacturing operations. This hands-on position is responsible for leading preventative maintenance programs, coordinating contractors and facilities services, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting the site's relocation from Marsden Park to Eastern Creek. This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine impact during a key period of growth and operational transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintenance Systems & Reliability: Develop PM program, asset register, maintenance KPIs, maintenance schedules and engineering documentation.
- Reactive Maintenance: Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults and coordinate resources during breakdowns.
- Facilities Management: Manage HVAC, compressed air, electrical systems, fire systems, lighting, utilities and compliance activities.
- Site Relocation & Capital Projects: Support Eastern Creek relocation, commissioning, equipment installation and contractor coordination.
- Contractor & Vendor Management: Coordinate external contractors, quotations, permits and service quality.
- Spare Parts Management: Establish critical spare inventory and maintenance stores.
- Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure maintenance activities comply with WHS and statutory requirements.

Completed Electrical Apprenticeship and relevant Electrical Trade Qualification.





Demonstrated hands-on electrical maintenance experience with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex manufacturing equipment faults, including automated machinery and production systems.

Proven experience developing, implementing and managing preventative maintenance programs within a manufacturing workplace.

Experience creating and maintaining maintenance schedules, asset registers and equipment records.

Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment with a strong focus on safety, reliability and operational performance.

Experience coordinating contractors, service providers and maintenance-related activities.

Strong organisational, planning and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions in a fast-paced workplace with limited supervision.

Solid problem-solving skills, with the ability to use clear judgement and make methodical decisions under pressure.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, both written and verbal.

Good working knowledge of manufacturing equipment, plant services and maintenance best practices.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems or similar planning tools.

Experience managing facilities and building services, including HVAC, compressed air systems, fire systems, electrical infrastructure and general site services.

Experience supporting equipment installation, commissioning, factory expansions or site relocations.

Experience implementing CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems) or similar maintenance planning systems.

Mechanical maintenance experience across manufacturing equipment.

Experience managing spare parts inventory and maintenance budgets.

Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing or Reliability Engineering experience.

Project management experience within a manufacturing environment.
