Waratah-Wynyard Council is looking for a Governance Officer to join our team and help support strong, effective and transparent governance across the organisation.

This is a varied role where you’ll work across governance, information management and administration, supporting key corporate processes and helping ensure council meets it legislative and organisational responsibilities.

This is a permanent full time position working 75 hours over a 9-day fortnight.

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Experience providing confidential administrative support in a governance or regulated environment.

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A commitment to high-quality internal and external customer service.

- A good understanding of information and records management practices, including electronic document management systems.
