ABOUT AUSTRALIANS TOGETHER
Australians Together is a not-for-profit organisation. We’re a passionate and diverse group of First Nations people and non-Indigenous people who want to see lived experiences of First Nations people improved. We recognise there’s a wound in the spirit of our nation, and for healing to take place, we need to work together.
Our staff, consultants and collaborators are located across Australia, and we respectfully learn from, and partner with, First Nations cultural and community Elders and leaders, academics and educators.
WORKING WITH US
We’re a remote organisation, with our team working from home across Australia.
We’re looking for someone who’s comfortable working autonomously but genuinely enjoys being part of a team. Someone who brings their knowledge and experience to their work, is open to shared learning, and values collaboration, connection and contributing to meaningful change.
If you’re looking for an opportunity to use your skills and experience in a for-purpose, values-led organisation, and be part of a supportive and connected team, we’d love to hear from you.
THE ROLE
As the Graphic Designer, you’ll work under the direction of the Senior Creative to bring Australians Together’s brand and creative ideas to life across marketing, digital and resource projects. Using your creative and technical skills, you’ll translate concepts and briefs into engaging, high-quality design that connect with our audiences and support AT’s purpose.
Working both collaboratively and autonomously, you’ll contribute to the design and development of AT’s growing suite of resources, campaigns,
digital content, marketing materials and internal communications. You’ll bring a strong eye for detail, practical design skills and the ability to take projects from concept through to completion, balancing creativity, brand, audience needs and technical execution.
ABOUT YOU
You’re a thoughtful and creative designer who has a strong eye for detail and enjoys turning ideas and information into clear, engaging visual content.
You’re comfortable working within an established brand while bringing your own creativity and ideas to the work. You can manage multiple design projects and deadlines, take a brief and run with it, and you’re equally comfortable asking questions, receiving feedback and working collaboratively to achieve the best outcome.
You enjoy variety in your work and are happy moving between different types of projects – whether you’re laying out a report, designing an educational resource, creating a social media asset or preparing something for print.
YOU’LL BRING
- A tertiary qualification in graphic design or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Demonstrated graphic design experience across digital and print
- Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign,
Illustrator and Photoshop
- Strong skills in typography, layout and visual communication
- Experience working within established brand guidelines and templates
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work
- An understanding of preparing artwork and documents for digital and print use
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with others
- The ability to work autonomously in a remote environment while being an active and connected member of a team
