We are seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle/Diesel Mechanic and competent 4th year to join our team at WSM DIESEL SERVICES & REPAIRS in Penrith, NSW.
What you'll be doing
- Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance on heavy vehicles and diesel equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues
- Test and inspect components to identify and rectify faults
- Carry out rebuilds, overhauls and modifications as required
- Maintain detailed job records and documentation
- Provide customer service and liaise with client
What we're looking for
- Formal trade qualifications in Automotive/Diesel Mechanics
- Experience as a Heavy Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Heavy Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic
- Detailed knowledge of heavy vehicle and diesel engine systems, components and diagnostic procedures
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Valuable communication and customer service skills
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and collaborative workshop environment
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency required
