About the role

Barty Mechanical is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our growing team in Kalgoorlie. We service a diverse range of commercial clients — mining operations, road transport and logistics fleets, drilling and exploration companies, government and council departments, and emergency response fleets. From routine servicing and diagnostics to suspension upgrades and complex repairs, our work covers the full range of heavy vehicle maintenance for the Goldfields.

We're looking for someone who can work independently, problem-solve on the tools, and grow into a more senior role in the workshop over time.

Key responsibilities

- Perform routine servicing and diagnostics on heavy vehicles
- Conduct suspension upgrades and complex repairs
- Work independently and take initiative on the tools
- Problem-solve and fault-find on heavy vehicle systems
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
- Maintain strong focus on safety, organisation and cleanliness
- Work collaboratively within the team

About you

- Australian Trade Certificate (Heavy Vehicle)
- Solid diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- High standard of workmanship and attention to detail




- Ability to work independently and take initiative, as well as work well within a team
- Strong focus on safety, organisation and cleanliness
- Professional attitude and reliable work ethic
- Own trade-specific tools
- Current C class driver's licence
- Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
- Minimum of three references from previous employers
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and ongoing drug and alcohol testing
- ARC Refrigerant handling licence (preferred, not essential)
