Role Description This part-time remote Helpdesk Engineer role focuses on providing reliable technical assistance to internal users and customers. Day-to-day responsibilities include responding to help desk tickets, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, and offering step-by-step guidance to users via email, chat, or video calls.

The Helpdesk

Engineer will support printers and peripheral devices, manage basic network connectivity checks, and document solutions and recurring issues in the ticketing system. The role also involves escalating complex incidents to senior technical staff when needed, maintaining clear communication on issue status and resolution times, and contributing to continuous improvement of helpdesk processes and knowledge base articles.

Qualifications

- Ability to provide effective Technical Support and Help Desk Support, including managing tickets and user inquiries in a structured, timely manner.
- Strong Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve common software, connectivity, and user-related issues.




- Competence in Printer Support, including installation, configuration, and basic maintenance of printers and multifunction devices.
- Solid understanding of Computer Hardware, including desktops, laptops, and peripheral components, with the ability to perform basic diagnostics and replacements.
- Good communication skills to explain technical concepts in transparent, simple language and maintain professional, customer-focused interactions.
- Familiarity with remote support tools, ticketing systems, and standard operating systems (Windows, macOS, and/or Linux).
- Organizational skills and attention to detail to prioritize tasks, follow procedures, and keep accurate records of support activities.
- Relevant certification or coursework (e.g., CompTIA A+, IT support fundamentals) is beneficial; prior experience in a helpdesk or technical support environment is an advantage.
