About the role
Every day is a little different. You’ll provide practical and personal support that helps older people stay independent, connected and confident at home. Whether you’re helping with daily tasks, preparing a meal, supporting a community outing or simply providing some company, you’ll play an important part in helping each person live life their way. This role will primarily cover Morley, Mt Lawley, Bayswater and Bassendean, with the flexibility to travel to other areas across the East when needed to cover sick leave and annual leave.
About you
You’re a caring, reliable and people-focused person who enjoys making a difference in someone’s day. You’re comfortable working independently, can adapt to different people and situations, and understand that outstanding care starts with listening, building trust and treating everyone with dignity and respect. Your key experience will include:
- A Certificate III in Community Care, Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability or a related field
- A genuine passion for supporting older people to live independently
- Good communication and relationship-building skills
- An understanding of safe work practices and the importance of reporting risks and concerns
- Willingness to administer or prompt medications once appropriately trained and deemed competent
- A current Driver’s Licence
- Access to a roadworthy, WA-registered vehicle with at least comprehensive third-party insurance
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
