About Us

Ocius Technology is an Australian company dedicated to developing and deploying cutting edge Uncrewed Surface Vehicles (USVs). Our vessel's harness Wind, Solar and Wave power to remain at sea collecting vital data for Defence and Civilian applications.

We are under contracts with RAN, RNZN and USA and are responding in an agile way to an ambitious program of building and deploying multiple USVs for operations around Australia and beyond.

The role

Reporting to the Chief Workforce Officer the HR Coordinator will be responsible for delivering end-to end employee life cycle activities. You will support a diverse client group, providing informed, best practice advice, whilst working alongside the Chief Workforce Officer to drive innovative initiatives and solutions through the areas of attraction, development, and engagement. This role would suit someone looking to further develop their HR career while gaining exposure to a broad range of people and culture activities.

The Workforce function is accountable for building and sustaining the organisational capability required to deliver Ocius’ strategy.

The function integrates people, wellbeing, performance, and systems to create a resilient workforce focused on excellence.

A typical day as a HR Coordinator could include:

HR Administration

- Maintain employee records and HR documentation.

- Support HR compliance processes and record keeping.

Employee Support





- Act as a first point of contact for general HR enquiries (more Advisor level) and then

- escalate more complex matters to the HR Business Partner team.

- Support performance and employee relations processes through meeting coordination, note-taking and documentation.

Selection Criteria

- Strong administration and organisational skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook and Word)

- The ability to build strong relationships across operational teams

- A proactive, solutions-focused approach

- Exposure to/experience working in a fast paced, dynamic environment

- Experience working in start-up is highly desirable

- Qualifications in Human Resources or related field is highly advantageous

- Experience coordinating recruitment and onboarding is preferred but not a requisite
