- Help safeguard the heart of Australia’s agricultural innovation!
- Influence HSE performance across two key Queensland manufacturing sites
- Well-known and established Australian chemical manufacturer

CLIENT

Our client is an established Australian organisation with a diverse portfolio of agribusiness products and manufacturing operations.

Operating in complex and highly regulated environments, the business places a strong emphasis on the health and safety of its people, responsible environmental management and operational excellence. It is committed to building a practical, leader-led HSE culture in which site teams and safety professionals work together to deliver sustainable outcomes.

The organisation is now seeking an experienced HSE Business Partner to support two of its key Queensland manufacturing sites.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This full time, permanent opportunity is based primarily at the Narangba site. You will work closely with operational leaders and frontline teams to strengthen health, safety and environmental performance. You will also support the Stapylton operation, with attendance required at least once per fortnight.

This is a hands-on partnering role for someone who understands the realities of manufacturing. You will need to balance HSE requirements with competing production priorities, build trusted relationships and help site teams achieve practical, sustainable outcomes.

You will work closely with the leader responsible for both Queensland sites, making collaboration style, stakeholder engagement and the ability to constructively influence especially important.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include

- Providing practical, risk-based HSE advice to operational leaders and frontline teams
- Developing, implementing and monitoring annual HSE action and training plans
- Conducting site walks,

inspections, spot checks and internal audits
- Coaching leaders and employees on effective risk controls and corrective actions
- Supporting incident and hazard investigations, including evidence gathering, root-cause analysis and corrective-action planning
- Maintaining standards and procedures for dangerous goods, hazardous substances, confined spaces, PPE, respiratory protection, lockout/tagout, permits to work and management of change
- Supporting proactive workers compensation, early-intervention and return-to-work activities
- Analysing HSE trends and performance data and communicating practical recommendations
- Supporting the maintenance of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications where applicable
- Driving initiatives that strengthen leader ownership, frontline engagement and shared accountability for HSE performance

SELECTION CRITERIA To be successful in your application you will need to meet the following criteria:

- A minimum Diploma in Work Health and Safety; a relevant degree is preferred
- At least three years’ HSE experience in an industrial, manufacturing, chemical or other high-risk environment
- A current Return to Work Coordinator certificate
- Strong knowledge of applicable health, safety, environmental and workers compensation legislation
- Demonstrated experience conducting incident investigations and root-cause analysis
- Experience developing and delivering HSE training, toolbox sessions and coaching
- Strong communication,

consultation and influencing skills
- The confidence to constructively challenge while maintaining productive working relationships
- Strong organisational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Experience involving chemicals, dangerous goods or Major Hazard Facilities is highly desirable. A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is also desirable.

WORKING ARRANGEMENTS The position will initially be site-based full time, primarily at Narangba. Attendance at Stapylton is required at least once per fortnight, with the successful candidate responsible for their own travel to that location.

Starting and finishing times are flexible within operational requirements, with an expected starting time between 7:00 am and 9:00 am.
