At Fremantle College, there are two (2) Human Resource Officer positions available. Applicants are invited to indicate which portfolio option they wish to be considered for as part of their application.

The two portfolio options: Relief Coordination and Administration.

Human Resource - Relief Coordinator The Human Resource Relief Coordinator role requires an early start, with working hours commencing at 6:30am and is responsible for coordinating daily relief, staff and leave management to ensure appropriate class coverage and staffing levels and administering payroll in HRMIS. The role requires a sound understanding of staff timetabling processes, effective deployment of staff to meet workforce and operational requirements, and close collaboration with executive staff to respond to staffing changes, leave requirements and relief needs.

The position also contributes to workforce planning, provides timely advice and support to staff and executive staff, and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in relief coordination and staffing processes.

Human Resource - Administrator The Human Resource Administrator provides administrative support and advice across human resource activities, including recruitment, selection and appointment of teaching and non-teaching staff, staff leave, payroll administration in HRMIS, induction, workforce planning and maintaining accurate human resource records.

The role supports executive staff with workforce planning, staff attraction and retention, succession planning, budget and establishment management, and strategic human resource initiatives. It also contributes to improving human resource processes,



workforce management and service delivery to achieve effective operational outcomes.

The successful applicants will ideally have highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills, including the ability to undertake effective negotiations and build positive relationships with staff at all levels. You should have highly developed organisational skills and be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality. You should possess the ability to contribute to continuous improvement and innovation to maximise opportunities.

Experience with SIS Integris (Cover and Timetabling), RAMs, HRMIS, Compass / Program Kaartdijin, Microsoft 365 and school ICT systems will be highly desirable. Previous experience in a secondary school or education-based HR environment will be highly regarded.
