SALARY – $115,000 - $125,000 per annum, dependent on experience

LOCATION – Southwest Sydney, NSW

My client is a leading manufacturer of specialist products. They are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their maintenance team in Southwest Sydney on a permanent basis.

The Mechanical Fitter will ideally have the following attributes:

- At least 3 years of experience working as a Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Technician, Maintenance Engineer or similar
- Relevant mechanical trade qualification, such as Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting and Machining)
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing, production, FMCG or industrial workplace
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs
- Strong knowledge of conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, motors, pneumatics and hydraulics
- Experience with mechanical installations, repairs, servicing and machinery modifications
- Able to read and interpret mechanical and engineering drawings
- Experience with welding,



fabrication or machining would be advantageous
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Good communication skills with the ability to work well in a collaborative environment

The Mechanical Fitter role will involve:

- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across manufacturing equipment and site machinery
- Responding to equipment breakdowns and carrying out mechanical fault-finding and repairs
- Maintaining and repairing conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, motors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Carrying out machinery installations, modifications and mechanical improvements
- Assisting with commissioning and installation
- Identifying recurring mechanical issues and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Completing maintenance records and ensuring accurate documentation is maintained
- Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime and maximise plant performance
- Working in accordance with relevant health and safety procedures
