Training Coordinator – Wollongong
Full-Time | Monday to Friday
About the Role
As a Training Coordinator, you’ll be the key point of contact for learners from enrolment through to graduation. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional student support, coordinating class delivery, and working closely with Trainers and Assessors to ensure seamless, high-quality education.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate student enrolment and pre-enrolment processes (e.g. open days, eligibility checks, LLN testing)
- Provide accurate course advice, explain learner rights and responsibilities
- Create and manage student files using VETtrak and ensure full documentation
- Develop class schedules and training plans in line with delivery strategies
- Conduct student inductions and deliver ongoing support services throughout their journey
- Support students with RPL/CT, extensions, deferrals, work placement, and special consideration requests
- Monitor and ensure student attendance, engagement, and course progression
- Manage learner and trainer escalations and resolve issues with empathy and efficiency
- Coordinate and maintain learning resources and campus facilities
- Perform quality checks on student assessments and ensure documentation compliance
- Assist with the issuance of certificates and administrative tasks as required
- Provide day-to-day support to Trainers and the Training Manager
- Assist with marketing events and compliance-related activities as needed

- Meticulous attention to detail and confidence in data entry and record keeping
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Willingness to contribute to continuous improvement and learner success
Desirable (Not Mandatory)
- Previous experience working in an RTO or VET setting
- Knowledge of Smart & Skilled funding and the Standards for RTOs 2015
- Familiarity with VETtrak or similar student management systems
- A valid driver’s licence and access to transport (if travel between campuses is needed)
