What you’ll do -

We’re looking for motivated candidates ready to start their career as a dental assistant! Through this 12-month Dental assisting Traineeship, you’ll complete a Certificate III in Dental Assisting with Byron Bay Hospital. Your duties will include:

- Learning best-practice infection control and safety standards in a dental clinic
- Assisting dental professionals chair-side during a range of oral health procedures
- Booking appointments, completing data entry, and supporting day-to-day clinic operations
- Following up with patients by phone and helping encourage appointment attendance
- Keeping treatment rooms clean, organised, and ready for patients
- Supporting both clinical and administrative areas to help the clinic run smoothly

This role gives you a great mix of hands-on patient care, teamwork, and behind-the-scenes experience in a skilled health environment What we’re looking for -

- Committed to completing the full traineeship and study requirements
- Keen to learn, grow, and build new skills
- Safety-focused and willing to follow procedures and guidelines
- Able to work independently, use initiative, and make confident decisions

Must-haves -

- Working with Children Check
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
- Vaccination Evidence (3 x doses of the Covid-19 vaccination required, along with Hepatitis B, Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Varicella, Influenza)
