ProBlast & Protective Coatings is looking for an experienced Blaster / Industrial Painter to join our existing team.
We are a growing Tasmanian-owned industrial services business based in Latrobe, providing end-to-end services including fabrication, abrasive blasting, industrial painting and protective coatings. Our work is undertaken in our workshop and across project sites throughout Tasmania.
With a number of industrial projects underway and ongoing work ahead, we’re seeking a skilled and reliable operator who can step in and support our crew immediately.
About the role:
- Immediate start available
- Initially offered on a casual basis
- Ongoing hours available for the right person
- Opportunity for the position to be reviewed as our workload continues to grow
- A combination of site-based and workshop work
- Varied industrial blasting and protective coating projects
- Travel or working away from home may be required from time to time
- Work alongside an experienced and supportive team
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience in abrasive blasting and industrial painting
- Is experienced in airless spray application
- Understands surface preparation and protective coating application
- Has exposure to coating QA processes, inspections and documentation
- Holds a current unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
- Works safely, efficiently and cooperatively as part of a team
- Takes pride in producing high-quality work
- Is dependable, hardworking and willing to get stuck in
- Can meet the physical requirements of the role
- Is flexible and willing to travel or work away when required
- Is available to commence as soon as possible
Relevant tickets, licences and industrial experience will be highly regarded. Fabrication or welding experience would also be an advantage.
