? ICT Project Officer – APS5 Equivalent | Canberra

IT Alliance Australia is currently seeking an ICT Project Officer / ICT Support Officer for an exciting opportunity supporting an Australian Government organisation.

? Location: Forrest, Canberra, ACT – 100% onsite

? Level: APS5 Equivalent

? Contract: 3 months + 3-month extension

⏰ Hours: Up to 37.5 hours/week

? Clearance: Current Baseline Security Clearance essential

? Start: 7 September 2026

Key Responsibilities

- Provide frontline ICT support across hardware, software, network, accounts and devices
- Troubleshoot, triage and resolve ICT incidents and service requests
- Administer user accounts, devices, software and ICT asset records
- Support ICT projects, upgrades, testing, rollouts and implementations
- Prepare ICT procedures, user guides and knowledge articles
- Work with vendors and service providers
- Support patching, access management, cyber security controls and incident reporting




- Identify recurring issues and contribute to service improvements

Essential Experience

✅ ICT support experience within the Australian Public Service (APS)

✅ Microsoft on-premises & cloud setting experience

✅ Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and analytical skills

✅ Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders

✅ Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes

✅ Understanding of ICT security and governance requirements

✅ Current Baseline Security Clearance

Desirable

⭐ Active Directory (On-Prem) & Azure AD / Entra ID
