Eden Ritchie Recruitment are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to support the development and improvement of face-to-face, blended and online learning materials for a large operational workforce.

This is a hands-on design and development role suited to an Instructional Designer who enjoys creating practical, engaging workplace learning. Working under the direction of the Senior Advisor, Capability, you will work autonomously on allocated projects while collaborating with instructional designers, subject matter experts and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

- Review, improve and uplift existing eLearning courses
- Design and develop new eLearning materials
- Develop presentation slides, facilitator guides and learner resources
- Create learning activities, assessments and visual learning assets
- Apply adult learning principles across face-to-face, blended and online learning
- Translate technical and operational information into clear and engaging learning content
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to determine learning requirements
- Incorporate stakeholder feedback while maintaining quality and consistency across learning materials

To be successful, you will bring:





- Two to five years of professional instructional design experience
- Demonstrated experience developing adult workplace learning
- Practical experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Rise and Storyline
- Solid written communication and visual design capability
- Strong stakeholder engagement, collaboration and negotiation skills
- The ability to work autonomously and manage allocated design and development activities

Experience using Canva is desirable, along with strong visual design skills and the ability to quickly learn new design techniques and tools. A qualification in Training Design and Development or an equivalent discipline is highly desirable.

Experience developing learning materials for blue-collar, operational, construction, infrastructure, transport, trade or safety-focused workforces will also be highly regarded.
