About Hometime

Hometime is Australia's leading short term rental management platform. We manage holiday homes and investment properties on behalf of homeowners, delivering superior yields, expert care and exceptional guest experiences. We operate through a combination of owned subsidiaries and local partners, supported by our central technology and operational platform.

Behind that network is a distributed team of around 200 people working at multiple sites across Australia. Keeping every one of them productive, connected and secure is where you come in.

The Opportunity

As our IT Operations and Endpoint Manager, you'll own the employee technology lifecycle at Hometime end to end: devices, identities, SaaS access, day-to-day support and the security controls that protect our people, from their first day through to their last.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role reporting to the CTO, and it's much more than a ticket queue. You'll personally run the service and own the outcomes: make employee technology dependable, keep devices and access under control, automate repeatable work and steadily reduce avoidable support demand.

Hometime is investing strongly in automation and the practical use of AI. You don't need to arrive as an AI specialist, but you should be eager to experiment responsibly and use emerging technology to remove repetitive work and create better employee experiences. We're also growing through acquisitions, so you'll help newly acquired businesses join our employee technology workplace while protecting day-one continuity.

What You'll Do

- Run a responsive, remote-first service desk for around 200 employees. Own issues through to resolution, communicate clearly, and remove recurring causes of demand through better configuration, self-service and automation.
- Own the endpoint lifecycle across macOS and Windows: provisioning, configuration, patching, endpoint protection, encryption, inventory and secure retirement,

operating and improving our endpoint-management platform.
- Administer identity and access across our core SaaS tools, owning joiner, mover and leaver workflows plus regular access and licence reviews.
- Own day-to-day employee security controls (MFA, SSO, least privilege, password management, endpoint protection) and drive our phishing-resilience and security-awareness programme.
- Act as first operational responder to suspected phishing, account-compromise and endpoint-security events: triage, contain, escalate and follow through.
- Help assess and integrate the employee technology of newly acquired businesses, building a repeatable integration playbook as we grow.
- Manage device procurement, logistics, spares and secure disposal for a workforce spread across the country.

About You You take pride in making work simpler and safer for other people, and you treat a well-run internal service as meaningful work in its own right. You own outcomes end to end, communicate early when plans change and always close the loop. You can juggle live support alongside planned improvements without dropping either.

You understand security risk without becoming a blocker by default, and you stay calm when priorities shift or an acquired business brings you an imperfect, inconsistent environment. Most of all, you're curious: you challenge how it's always been done and look for a better way to deliver the service.

You bring:

- Hands-on ownership of internal IT operations for a distributed organisation of roughly 100 to 300 employees.

- Strong practical experience managing both macOS and Windows endpoints through their full lifecycle.
- Identity and SaaS administration experience: joiner/mover/leaver workflows, MFA, SSO, groups, permissions and access reviews.
- Experience running or materially improving a service desk, including prioritisation, escalation, documentation and service reporting.
- Operational experience responding to suspected phishing, account-compromise or endpoint-security events, plus delivering security-awareness or phishing-resilience activities.
- Evidence of automating repetitive work and reducing manual effort or recurring support demand.
- Clear written and verbal communication with non-technical colleagues, vendors and senior leaders.

Bonus points for:

- Experience in a remote-first, high-growth or multi-entity business.
- Administering an endpoint-management platform: automated enrolment, configuration policies, patching and compliance remediation.
- Integrating the employee technology of an acquired company.
- Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Apple Business Manager, endpoint security and password manager administration.
- Managing device procurement and logistics across Australia or a similarly distributed geography.
- Familiarity with security-control evidence, cyber insurance inputs or recognised security frameworks.

Why Hometime? You'll own an entire function, not a slice of one. You'll have the autonomy to decide how employee technology should work at Hometime, the backing to automate aggressively, and a direct line to the CTO. Your work will be felt by every person in the business, every day.

Hometime has featured in the Deloitte Fast 50 and the EY best places to work lists. And we happen to manage Australia's finest holiday homes in the most desirable holiday locations around the country, which you will need to see and experience.
