Hampers & Gifts Australia (HGA) — home to The Hamper Emporium, Gifts Australia, and the ecommerce arm of Maggie Beer — is looking for an experienced IT Support Officer to join us for our Peak trading season.

Each year, HGA scales up significantly to meet Christmas demand, bringing on a large casual workforce in a short window. This role exists to make sure that ramp-up runs smoothly — from device provisioning through to onsite, first-line support — relieving pressure on our small internal IT team during our busiest and most operationally critical period.

About the role

Reporting to the IT Manager, you'll own day-to-day device provisioning, account setup and onsite support across our Regents Park site, while also supporting our warehouse and workshop teams with their technology needs.

Key responsibilities

- Provision new starters end-to-end — Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace account creation, licensing, and role-based access to systems including Shopify, Slack and relevant logistics platforms
- Pre-stage, image and configure laptops and peripherals ahead of start dates, maintaining a ready-to-deploy buffer as volumes fluctuate
- Deliver first-line, in-person IT support to inbound, customer service, admin, warehouse and workshop teams during live operations
- Action password resets, user swaps and reallocations efficiently, typically within 24–48 hours
- Manage offboarding and asset recovery at the end of casual engagements, maintaining accurate asset and licence records throughout




- Maintain and help improve onboarding/offboarding documentation and standard operating procedures
- Identify and escalate IT or security risks to the IT Manager as they arise

About you

- Demonstrated experience in IT support, end-user computing and device provisioning, ideally within a high-volume or seasonal environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace administration; familiarity with Shopify, Slack or logistics platforms (e.g. MachShip, Australia Post) highly regarded
- Hands-on experience with laptop imaging, configuration and asset management
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise under volume and last-minute change
- High attention to detail, particularly around data accuracy and documentation
- A calm, professional manner and strong communication skills, with the ability to support non-technical staff confidently under pressure
- Comfortable working autonomously while reporting into a broader IT function
