We are seeking an experienced and motivated Joinery Estimator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of the Commercial Joinery Industry who can accurately estimate projects from drawings, specifications and schedules. Working closely with our project management, drafting and production teams, you will play a key role in preparing competitive and accurate quotations while ensuring projects are commercially viable.
Key responsibilities
- Review architectural drawings, specifications and project documentation
- Prepare accurate estimates and detailed quotations for joinery projects
- Take off quantities and calculate materials, labour, hardware and installation costs
- Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor pricing
- Identify project requirements, variations, exclusions and potential risks
- Liaise with suppliers, clients, builders and internal teams as required
- Assist with tender submissions and pricing negotiations
- Maintain accurate estimating records and project pricing information
- Ensure estimates are completed within required deadlines
- Work with the production and project teams to ensure a smooth transition from estimating to manufacture
About you
- Proven experience in AutoCAD, Advance Excel, Foxel PDF Reader, Outlook
- Cabinet making experience or strong knowledge of cabinetry construction
- Ability to produce high-quality Documents/Drawings
- Solid understanding of architectural plans and construction drawings
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Good client communication and liaison skills
- Strong computer skills
- Reliable, punctual and possess a strong work ethic
