About the role

East Griffith Pharmacy is seeking a Junior Pharmacist to join our dedicated pharmacy team on a casual, permanent part time or fulltime basis. Based in Griffith, NSW 2680, this role offers an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or early-career pharmacist to develop practical experience in community pharmacy practice. As a Junior Pharmacist, you will support the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care to our patients whilst working flexibly around your schedule.

This position is integral to ensuring our pharmacy operates efficiently and maintains the highest standards of patient care and service.

Key responsibilities

- Accurately dispensing medications and verifying prescriptions in accordance with legal and professional requirements
- Providing advice to customers regarding the safe and effective use of medicines and over-the-counter products
- Conducting medication reviews and identifying potential drug interactions or contraindications
- Maintaining accurate pharmaceutical records and ensuring compliance with pharmacy legislation and regulations
- Supporting the delivery of vaccinations and health screening services where applicable
- Assisting with inventory management, stock rotation and ordering of pharmaceutical products
- Contributing to a welcoming and professional pharmacy environment that prioritises patient safety
- Collaborating with the pharmacy team, healthcare professionals and patients to optimise therapeutic outcomes
- Participating in continuing professional development and staying current with pharmaceutical practice standards

What we're looking for

- Current registration as a Pharmacist with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and relevant state pharmacy regulatory body
- Recent pharmacy qualification or graduation from an accredited pharmacy degree programme
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical science, drug interactions, contraindications and therapeutic applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with patients and healthcare professionals




- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality pharmacy practice
- Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing and record-keeping
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and point-of-sale technology
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment
- Professional approach and commitment to ethical pharmaceutical practice
- Willingness to undertake training and develop expertise in community pharmacy operations
