The Team Subacute, Aged and Community Services (SAACS) is committed to delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care across a diverse range of community, aged care and subacute services. Working collaboratively with clinical and operational teams, the service drives continuous improvement, patient safety and excellence in healthcare outcomes. As the major clinical teaching and research centre, RHH works closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.

The Role

- Lead patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate incident management and serious event investigations.
- Manage patient feedback and complaints.
- Analyse safety data to inform service improvements.
- Deliver education and guidance to clinicians and stakeholders.
- Champion a proactive safety culture and support the delivery of safe, high-quality care for consumers.

Broad clinical and operational experience within a complex health care environment encompassing acute,



sub-acute and primary health services; with a demonstrated understanding of patient safety.

Extensive knowledge of and commitment to continuous quality improvement and accreditation processes including risk management, undertaking investigations, preparation of witness statements, National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and other accreditation activities.

Demonstrated high level interpersonal, communication, mediation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders with a demonstrated ability to influence and motivate staff.

Details of appointment: Permanent part time, day worker position, working 64 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible (notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant). Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $118,297 to $125,543 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type. Salary Packaging.

Eligibility

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.

- Holds, or is working towards, relevant postgraduate qualifications.
- Current Driver's Licence.
