This is a hands-on position suited to someone who is reliable, physically fit, hardworking and passionate about gardening. You will be working in a beautiful, well-maintained and premium residential environment at The Cove, a luxury gated community comprising 92 apartments and townhouses, surrounded by beautifully established lush tropical gardens, landscaped lawns, water features and two pool areas.
Key responsibilities
- Lawn mowing and general lawn care
- Hedging and pruning
- Manual weeding and spray applications
- Green waste collection and removal
- Mulching
- Blowing and maintaining pathways
- General garden and grounds maintenance
- Basic maintenance of drip irrigation systems
- Operating and maintaining gardening and landscape equipment including ride-on mowers, blowers, brush cutters, hedgers, pruners and pressure-cleaning equipment
About you
- Previous experience in gardening, horticulture or landscape maintenance
- A strong work ethic and a reliable, punctual approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- A proactive attitude and the ability to use your initiative
- The ability to follow instructions and work safely
- A high level of attention to detail
- A qualified and respectful approach when interacting with residents and contractors
- A current driver's licence
- Horticultural qualifications and experience with basic drip irrigation systems will be highly regarded, but are not essential
