Torrington Horticulture is a family run business that has been servicing some of Toowoomba's prominent commercial facilities for over 40 years.

We’re seeking a reliable and enthusiastic gardener / horticulturist to join a small, friendly team maintaining prominent commercial sites and large prestige private gardens around Toowoomba.

We are looking for:

Key responsibilities

- Horticultural care: Plant selection, soil preparation, fertilising, pest and disease monitoring, seasonal planting.
- General garden maintenance: Hedging, weeding, pruning, mulching, and planting. (NO mowing, edging or weed eating)
- Decision Making: Ability to make decisions independently and direct other team members in onsite activities.
- Customer service: Liaise politely with clients, follow job briefs, and leave sites clean and secure.

Skills and experience

- Experience in gardening or horticulture mandatory.
- Practical skills: pruning, plant ID and selection, safe use of garden machinery.
- Attributes: punctual, physically fit, attention to detail, good communicator.
- Driver’s licence and reliable transport preferred

Desirable:

- Horticulture qualifications (Cert III or above) or relevant on the job experience.
- Prior experience in a similar role (gardening, horticulture, landscaping)
- Blue Card, First Aid qualification, herbicide application accreditation or chainsaw accreditation.
