Food Production Assistant - Casual | Tue-Thu

Join a small, established food manufacturing team in a hands-on role involving food production, packing, cleaning and some operation of production equipment following training.

This is a genuinely active, hands-on role. You will be on your feet and physically working throughout the shift in a fast-paced production environment.

Key responsibilities

- Food production and packing
- Handling ingredients and finished products
- Cleaning production areas and equipment
- Operating production equipment and machinery following training
- Following food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures
- Regular manual handling, including lifting and handling items weighing up to 25kg, using appropriate equipment and safe work procedures where required
- Working efficiently in a fast-paced production workplace

About you

- Reliable and punctual




- Comfortable with active, physical work and able to safely perform the manual handling requirements of the role
- Able to follow instructions and established procedures
- High standards of personal hygiene and food safety
- Comfortable learning to operate production equipment and machinery
- Able to work efficiently as part of a small team
- Previous food manufacturing, factory, production or packing experience is an advantage but not essential
- Steel-capped safety shoes are required for ongoing work

Usual shift times: Approximately 6:30am-3:00pm

Usual production days: Tues, Wed, Thur - shifts offered according to production requirements.
