How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:
The below is designed to give you an idea of the role you will play. There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do.
- Set up andoperateenvironmentaltesting for major assembliesas directed
- Install instrumentation, including strain gauges, thermocouples, and pressure transducers
- Complete mechanical setup of test stands, including electrical, pneumaticand fluids connections
- Complete all processes to a high degree of quality/standard
- Operate a multitude of control software tooperatetest stands and vehicle systems
- Assistwithmajor lift operations, including rigging andguidingcrane lifts
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and instrumentation as needed.
- Provide feedback and lessons learnt to ensure continued improvement of Gilmour space test facilities.
- Adhere to standard operating and safety procedures to ensure compliance at all times.
- Other duties as required by Management
Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- 2+ years of experience working with and troubleshooting mechanicalor RFsystems (professional work experience or personal project experience will be considered)
- Teamwork orientated attitude
- NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred
Desired Qualifications,Skillsand Experience:
- Experience working with and troubleshooting complex mechanicalsystems, high pressure fluid/pneumatic systems,electronic/RFsystemsor heavy equipment, ideally within the aerospace industry
- Experience using power tools, hand tools, and calibrated tooling
- Must have exceptional time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of temperature, pressure, and flow measurement devices, mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience working with RF / EMC instrumentation e.g. Signal Generators, Antennas/Probes, Spectrum Analysers etc.
- Skill in operating and manipulating machinery with great manual dexterity. Experience with forklifts, cranes, and heavy equipment.
- Ability to rapidlyadapt to changes in directionwhile working in a quick-paced, challenging work environment.
- It is essential to have the skills to work efficiently in a team environment and should have a desire and willingness to assist other team members in the general day to day running of the department.
