About the Role An excellent opportunity is available for a qualified Maintenance Electrician to join an established facilities and maintenance team based at a large healthcare facility in Macquarie Park.
This is a permanent static-site position, giving you the stability of working from the same location each day without travelling between different customer sites across Sydney.
You'll carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance, fault finding, testing and repairs while supporting the reliable operation of a busy healthcare facility.
Working within a critical setting means safety, compliance and reliability are essential. You'll join an established team responsible for maintaining the facility and responding quickly to electrical issues when they arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative electrical maintenance
- Attend reactive maintenance and electrical breakdowns
- Diagnose electrical faults and complete repairs
- Support the maintenance of critical electrical infrastructure
- Complete electrical testing and inspections
- Maintain emergency lighting and associated essential services
- Carry out minor electrical installations and upgrades
- Respond to maintenance requests throughout the facility
- Monitor electrical assets and identify potential issues
- Ensure all work meets relevant electrical safety and compliance standards
- Complete maintenance reports and documentation
- Work alongside other trades and facilities personnel
- Work professionally within a live healthcare environment
About You
- Qualified Electrician with current NSW Electrical Licence
- Previous commercial maintenance experience
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience completing planned and reactive maintenance
- Good understanding of electrical testing and compliance
- Comfortable working within a busy operational environment
- Able to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong approach to workplace health and safety
- Experience within hospitals, healthcare, critical environments or large commercial facilities highly regarded
Previous healthcare experience is advantageous but not essential for someone with a strong commercial maintenance background.
