The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded boutique accounting firm based in the Perth CBD, with a genuine pathway to Partner within 3-5 years. The firm has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality tax and business advisory services to a loyal portfolio of privately owned businesses, entrepreneurs and high-net-worth clients.
As a Manager, you'll take ownership of an established portfolio of clients and fees, working closely with the Partners while having the autonomy to build and grow your own client relationships.
The Role
You'll step into a key leadership position within the Tax & Business Services team, with responsibility for:
- Taking over and managing an established portfolio of clients and fees
- Managing client relationships and becoming a trusted business adviser
- Reviewing and overseeing the preparation of financial statements and tax returns
- Providing tax planning and broader business advisory services
- Managing more complex client matters and providing commercially focused advice
- Reviewing work and supporting the development of accountants and seniors
- Working closely with the Partners on client strategy and business development
- Identifying opportunities to grow existing client relationships and the portfolio
- Contributing to the continued growth and success of the practice
About You
We're looking for an experienced Manager or Senior Manager from an Australian public practice environment who is ready for a genuine pathway to ownership.
You'll ideally have
- CA/CPA qualification
- Strong Australian tax and accounting experience
- Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients and fees
- Strong technical capability across tax and business services
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills
- Commercial acumen and an interest in business development
- Leadership experience and the ability to mentor a team
- The ambition to progress into a Partner role
