About the role The Manufacturing Operations Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operation of Food2Soil's biological manufacturing facility. This is a diverse, hands-on role encompassing production, biological process monitoring, equipment maintenance, quality control, inventory management and continuous improvement. The successful applicant will take ownership of the manufacturing process from raw material preparation through to finished product, ensuring production is carried out safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
The role also supports research and development activities, process optimisation and documentation, contributing directly to the ongoing growth and innovation of the business.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the manufacturing process from start to finish, including fermentation, processing, blending, bottling and packaging of Food2Soil products
- Prepare production schedules in consultation with management
- Ensure raw materials, packaging and equipment are available for planned production runs
- Monitor production progress to achieve quality, efficiency and volume targets
- Monitor biological manufacturing processes, including fermentation performance and key process parameters
- Record observations throughout production and identify any deviations from expected process conditions
- Carry out routine inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance of production equipment
- Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process and conduct routine quality control checks
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, consumables, packaging and finished goods and conduct regular stocktakes
- Participate in manufacturing improvement projects and process optimisation
About you
- Experience in a manufacturing, production or process operations environment
- Strong computer literacy, including confidence using Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook, Word and Excel) and cloud-based business systems
- Ability to prepare clear written documentation, reports and operational records
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritise work, manage competing tasks and work with minimal supervision
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Valuable written and verbal communication skills
- Current driver's licence
- Ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy loads and comfortable standing, bending and moving throughout the day
