About The Role

As a Stevedore you will work with a team responsible for the loading and unloading of cargo vessels at our Fisherman Islands Terminal located in the Port of Brisbane.

We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To meet our customer requirements and variable shipping schedules, Stevedores must be readily available to work across all shifts and days.

About You

You have a safety-minded approach to tasks and a high level of awareness of your surroundings. You enjoy being part of a team, while willing to take responsibility for your own contributions. Your positive attitude, capabilities and ability to be flexible in work allocation – hours, days and tasks – will facilitate your development and progression within our business.

We are seeking individuals with qualifications from a range of sectors. While not essential, qualifications in the following areas are considered desirable:

- CB – Bridge and Gantry Crane
- CP – Portal Crane
- DG – Dogman’s
- Ri – Riggers intermediate and above
- LF - Forklift
- RS – Reach Stacker
- Ships Gear Crane
- Working at Heights
- Open Drivers’ Licence
- Ability to obtain Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
- Ability to complete relevant Inductions
- Consent to undergo a pre-employment medical and physical assessment, including a drug and alcohol test
- Compliance with fit for work requirements.
