360 Personnel is honoured to be assisting with a joint venture on one of Hobart's most significant infrastructure projects at Macquarie Wharf.
We are seeking a mix of experienced marine construction tradespeople, civil construction workers and labourers. With the scale and complexity of this project, there will be opportunities across multiple disciplines, with the following roles expected to be in high demand.
Key Trades:
Boilermaker/Welders/Dogmen & Riggers
Marine and Bridge experience highly regarded.
Duties;
- Fabricate, assemble and install structural steel components for wharf and marine infrastructure.
- Weld piles, brackets, beams and other marine structural components.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, plans and technical documentation.
- Perform repairs, modifications and maintenance to marine infrastructure.
- Complete structural welding on marine, civil and heavy industrial projects.
- Carry out weld preparation, fit up and finishing activities.
- Plan and execute protected lifting operations using cranes and lifting equipment.
- Install, position and secure structural steel, piles and heavy components.
- Direct crane operations using approved hand and radio signals.
- Attach and secure loads using appropriate lifting techniques.
- Assess load weights, balance and lifting requirements to ensure safe operations.
Crane Operators
Duties:
- Operate mobile crawler and tower cranes to safely lift, move and position construction materials and structural components.
- Perform pre-start inspection and routine maintenance checks.
- Ensure lifting equipment remains compliant, inspected and serviceable.
- Work closely with Dogmen, Riggers and Supervisors to execute complex lifting operations.
- Interpret lift plans and load charts.
- Operate safely within live construction and marine environments.
- Follow all site safety requirements and project specifications.
Formwork Carpenters/Steel Fixers/Wharf and Bridge Carpenters
Duties:
- Construct and install formwork systems for concrete structures.
- Interpret plans and specifications to accurately set out work.
- Cut, bend and install reinforcing steel to engineering specifications.
- Secure reinforcement for concrete structures and marine foundations
- Install decking, handrails, fender systems and associated wharf components.
- Carry out wharf maintenance, upgrades and refurbishment works.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Work collaboratively with construction teams to achieve project milestones.
Concreters
Duties:
- Place, spread and finish concrete for marine and civil infrastructure works.
- Assist with formwork preparation and reinforcement installation.
- Apply curing processes and quality control measures.
- Ensure high quality concrete finishes are achieved.
- Conduct repairs and remediation works where required.
- Maintain safe working practices around plant and equipment.

Essential Requirements/Highly Regarded.
- Construction White Card (Essential)
- Relevant trade qualifications or machinery operating tickets where required.
- Working at Heights
- Confined Space
- Dogging Licence
- Basic or Intermediate Rigging
- Elevated Work Platform
- MR or higher truck licence.
- Previous marine, bridge or major infrastructure project experience.
