Coleman Greig Lawyers is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to join our firm on a 12-month maximum-term contract.

This is a broad and highly visible role, responsible for leading the firm’s marketing and business development function and an established Clients & Markets team.

Working closely with our CEO, Principals, Team Leaders and senior stakeholders, you will help drive the firm’s marketing and business development strategy, strengthen client relationships, identify growth opportunities and continue to build the Coleman Greig brand across our key markets. You will also play a vital role in the planning of the firm’s centenary in 2028.

About the role

As Marketing Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations and priorities of the Clients & Markets team while taking ownership of the firm’s broader marketing and business development program.

Your responsibilities will include

- Leading, supporting and developing the Clients & Markets team, including setting priorities, managing workflow and maintaining a collaborative, high-performing environment.
- Developing and implementing firm-wide marketing and business development plans aligned with Coleman Greig’s strategic objectives.
- Partnering with Principals and practice groups to develop and implement targeted business development plans and initiatives.
- Identifying opportunities for client growth, cross-referrals, new business and re-engagement with existing and dormant clients.
- Driving the firm’s client engagement program, including seminars, webinars, corporate hospitality, industry initiatives and other client-facing events.
- Overseeing the firm’s digital marketing strategy, including website, SEO, social media, email marketing, content and digital campaigns.
- Managing the Coleman Greig brand and ensuring consistency across communications, campaigns and client touchpoints.
- Working with lawyers to develop thought leadership, publications, presentations and other profile-building opportunities.
- Supporting key client, referrer,



industry and community relationships, sponsorships and partnerships.
- Overseeing Tender applications, awards, directory submissions, firm announcements and profile-raising opportunities.
- Using data and insights to monitor marketing performance, client engagement and return on investment, and providing regular reporting to senior leadership.
- Managing external agencies, suppliers and the marketing budget.
- Working collaboratively with People & Capability and other business services teams on internal communications, employer brand and firm-wide initiatives.

About you You are an experienced marketing and business development professional who understands how to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and translate commercial objectives into practical marketing and BD activity.

You will ideally bring

- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated marketing and business development experience within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Experience leading, mentoring or managing a small team.
- Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of how marketing and business development contribute to client growth and firm performance.
- Confidence working directly with senior leaders, partners or other professional stakeholders.
- Experience developing and implementing marketing and business development plans.
- Strong capability across client engagement, events, digital marketing, content, brand and communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.




- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- A proactive, team-oriented and solutions-focused approach.
