Essential Requirements for role:





- 24 months minimum solid experience with conveyor system maintenance
- Minimum trade Qualification: Australia Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical trade
- Potential ability to become a leading hand
- Experienced in Hydraulic tech, GBX, motor, pulley replacement/refurbishment in conveyor system
- Reliable and take pride of the work
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Full Australian Work Rights
- White Card, Working at Heights, Confined Space
- Ability to provide a satisfactory National Police Check certificate
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment & DAS

Desirable:

- High risk licence: EWP, LF, DG, IR, CN or Overhead crane
- Days, Nights and Weekends Available.

Key Responsibilities (Mechanical Fitter):

- Undertake scheduled, planned and corrective maintenance to fixed plant and machinery with the focus on preventing downtime and keeping equipment running smoothly and reliably.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to maintain optimal production output.
- Familiar with different types of couplings
- Replace conveyor gearbox, motor and pulley couplings and bearings.
- Carry out repair action required to manufacturer's specifications and relevant Australian standards.
- Isolate equipment and follow strict safety and maintenance procedures.
- Conduct mechanical fitting, welding, and basic fabrication work.
- Assist with the installation, commissioning, and upgrades of machinery.
- Record accurate maintenance tasks and reports.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
- Uphold high standards of safety, housekeeping, and waste minimization.
