ABOUT THE ROLE
We are immediately seeking a fulltime permanent Mechanical Fitter to join our Service Team in Townsville, QLD.
Duties will include maintenance and repair of overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
- To perform repair work to cranes, Installations of cranes, hoists and materials handling equipment and from time to time other equipment in a professional and tradesman like manner.
- Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and sub assemblies to produce machines and equipment.
- Checking fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instruments
ABOUT YOU
- Mechanical Fitter Trade qualification is essential
- 3- 5 years of experience in Cranes, lifting equipment's or Manufacturing industry
- Sound Mechanical aptitude
- High Risk Card EWP, OHS white card
- Certificate of proficiency
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Effective troubleshooting and problem solving ability
- Must be well organized and show effective time management skills
- Must have a current manual Drivers License
- Must be safety conscious and the ability to promote a safe environment
- Must be available to work overtime and travel to remote sites when required
- Sound Mechanical aptitude
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Full Time Permanent
- Field Work
- Travel required from time to time.
- Work vehicle provided for work travel purposes.
- 38 hours work week with potential overtime.
- Work standard time is 7am - 3.06pm (potential overtime including weekend)
