Mechanical Fitter

Your new company

We are seeking a trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter to assemble, maintain and refurbish heavy mechanical equipment and drilling rigs. Working in a contemporary workshop environment, you'll be responsible for mechanical fitting, fault-finding, reading technical drawings, equipment repairs and quality testing.

Your new role

- Assemble and fit heavy mechanical equipment and drilling machinery
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications
- Perform mechanical fitting, alignment and component installation
- Conduct repairs, fault-finding and preventative maintenance
- Refurbish hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical assemblies
- Complete quality inspections and testing of finished products
- Maintain a safe and organised workshop environment

What you'll need to succeed
- Trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner or Mechanical Fitter
- Experience working with heavy industrial, mining or manufacturing equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills




- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems highly regarded
- Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
