M&S; Mahmood Anaesthesia is seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team in Rockhampton, QLD. This is a part-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice.

As Medical

Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and will be instrumental in creating a welcoming and professional setting. This role is essential to the day-to-day functioning of our anaesthesia services, supporting both our clinical team and patients throughout their journey with us.

Key responsibilities

- Managing patient files and ensuring confidentiality of sensitive medical information
- Processing payments and managing billing queries with professionalism and accuracy
- Assisting with general administrative duties to support the smooth running of the practice
- Providing information to patients regarding procedures and costs
- Coordinating with healthcare providers to facilitate patient care





What we're looking for Previous experience working as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare administration role preferred

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff
- Strong organisational abilities with proficiency in managing multiple tasks and priorities
- Proficiency in medical software systems and general computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated commitment to patient confidentiality and understanding of healthcare privacy regulations
- A calm, empathetic demeanor with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally
- Attention to detail and accuracy in administrative record-keeping
