About the role

Mollett Farms Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and motivated mixed crop and livestock assistant manager to join our broadacre cropping enterprise in Jerdacuttup Western Australia. This role involves supporting all stages of crop production, including paddock preparation, seeding, spraying and harvesting, together with machinery operation, routine servicing and general farm maintenance. Some sheep husbandry livestock duties may be required from time to time.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee the preparation and implementation of cropping and livestock programs, including machinery operation at seeding and harvesting with equipment such as Rogator and Agrifac self propelled sprayers, Case 8250 Combine Harvesters, Fendt Tractors, Challenger track tractor, Gessner ripper, DBS 40 foot seeding bar and bin, all with GPS and Autosteer

- Manage and liaise with farming staff and labour including spray operation and fertilisation, pest and weed control

- Conduct seeding and cultivating, spraying and fertilising of crops

- Assist in sheep husbandry, mustering, drafting, drenching, and lamb marking





- Monitor livestock breeding and health management for profitable production

- Ensure maintenance and optimal performance of various machinery and equipment

- Implement installations, maintenance, and repairs of fences, barns and water systems

- Keep farming activities' progress recorded and updated in logbooks

- Implement work and safety standards as per regulations

- Assist in training and supervising farm staff

About you

- At least five years practical experience in broadacre cropping, grain production or similar agricultural workplace

- Experience operating farm machinery and equipment and operating GPS-guided, autosteer and other precision farming technology

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Good physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

- Strong work ethic, reliability and attention to detail

- Current driver's license required, truck license is an advantage

- Current rights to work in Australia
