Our client has been established since 2004, putting down roots in Sydney and continuing to grow steadily within the mortgage brokerage industry. They are currently seeking an experienced Senior Mortgage Processor to take ownership of and manage residential loan applications from submission through to approval and settlement.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised, proactive mortgage professional who enjoys solving problems, managing a busy pipeline and getting deals across the line. If you can speak Mandarin/Cantonese or Korean would be a bonus!
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage mortgage applications from submission through to settlement
- Prepare and review loan applications and supporting documentation
- Liaise with lenders, BDMs, credit teams and settlement parties
- Manage lender conditions, queries and outstanding requirements
- Keep clients and brokers updated throughout the process
- Identify and resolve potential issues early
- Mentor, support & lead a small team of 4 admin/processors
- Assist with complex lending scenarios and support the wider team
- Maintain accurate, compliant and confidential loan files
About You:
- 5+ years' experience in mortgage processing, lending or mortgage broking
- Strong knowledge of residential lending and the application-to-settlement process
- Experience working with multiple lenders and lender policies
- Robust understanding of servicing, income verification, credit and property documentation
- Previous experience supporting and mentoring junior team
- Excellent communication, organisation and attention to detail
- Ability to manage a high-volume pipeline and competing priorities
- Proactive, solutions-focused and accountable
Experience with self-employed, investment, complex income, construction/bridging or non-standard lending will be highly regarded.
