About the role

Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy. Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning in a timely manner. Road test vehicles when required.

Perform quality inspections of vehicle repairs prior to returning the vehicle to the customer, as well as ensuring customers vehicle is kept clean. Communicate effectively with customers to explain diagnoses, repairs, and maintenance needs in a friendly and clear manner. Utilise diagnostic equipment and tools to accurately identify problems and recommend appropriate solutions.

- Ensure that required documentation is completed and accurate

- Reports machine defects and malfunctions

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge about our industry

- Ensure that workspace is kept clean, and equipment and tools are kept in good condition and stored properly

About you

- Minimum Certificate III, IV and Diploma (preferable) in Automotive (Light/Heavy Vehicle)

- Qualified and experience as an automotive mechanic (1 years minimum)

- Diagnostic experience

- Strong fault-finding skills

- Positive mechanical/electrical aptitude

- Good attention to detail

- Ability to work as part of a team

- Current full Drivers' License

- Automotive Air Conditioning License holders preferred

- Previous experience with repetitive tasks
