Position: Motor Mechanic (General)

About the Role

ABC Trading is seeking a skilled and motivated Motor Mechanic (General) to join our team in North St Marys, NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of motor vehicles while ensuring high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Perform routine vehicle servicing and maintenance.
- Repair and replace defective components including engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, braking, and electrical systems.




- Conduct vehicle inspections and identify repair and maintenance requirements.
- Test vehicles after repairs to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with workplace health and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding vehicle issues and repair requirements.

Essential Requirements

- An AQF Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or a closely related qualification.
- Minimum one (1) year of relevant work experience as a Motor Mechanic.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive communication and organisational skills.
- Current driver's licence is desirable.
