Daisy's Garden Supplies is a respected Victorian family-owned business. We have been supplying high quality building, garden & landscaping supplies to Melbourne, Geelong and beyond for nearly 45 years. The Daisy's team currently consists of about 200 people, working across 10 stores and 4 production sites, from Pakenham and Mornington to Torquay and Colac. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Store Driver to join our team.
The role
As a Store Driver you will:
- Drive MR and/or HR tippers out of your local store, several runs a day, not several days a run.
- If ticketed, load trucks yourself.
- Deliver bulk product, bagged product, hardware and cement to trade and retail customers.
- Service customers for mums and dads, to million-dollar landscapers.
- Keep the store and yard safe and tidy.
- Work with a team of 6-20, depending on the store.
Hours of the role
Our store opening hours differ between stores. Depending on the store and the day, our stores open between 6.30-7am and close between 3.30-4.30pm.
All stores are closed on Sundays and most public holidays.
Skills & experience
In applicants we look for:
- Current MR license with a safe driving record and at least 1-year previous truck driving experience
- A safety-first attitude
- An ability to form positive customer relationships and manage customer conflict calmly
- A willingness to help out at the store any way it's needed
- Competencies and experience operating a forklift and/or front-end loader advantageous
