About the role

As Venue Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth and successful operation of the venue, with a solid focus on hospitality, customer service, team leadership and operational standards. This is a key leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, working with people, and creating a welcoming and professional experience for members, guests and visitors. You'll take ownership of venue operations while supporting and developing a strong hospitality team.

Key responsibilities

- Leading, supporting and motivating the hospitality team

- Overseeing daily bar, dining, function and venue operations

- Delivering a consistently high standard of customer service

- Recruiting, training, rostering and developing staff

- Managing labour costs and assisting with budgets and financial performance

- Maintaining stock levels, ordering and stock control

- Coordinating functions, events and busy service periods

- Ensuring compliance with RSA, food safety, workplace health and safety, and relevant licensing requirements

- Maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness throughout the venue

- Working closely with management and other departments to ensure seamless operations

About you





- Previous experience in a Venue Manager, Hospitality Manager, Food & Beverage Manager or similar leadership role

- Strong people-management and communication skills

- Excellent customer service standards

- Experience managing rosters, labour and operational costs

- Sound knowledge of bar and food service operations

- Experience with large functions and events

- The ability to remain calm and make valuable decisions in a busy environment

- Current Approved Manager and relevant hospitality certifications

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and functions as required
