About the Role

We have an opportunity for an experienced Operational Technology Systems Engineer to join our Engineering &

- Maintenance Delivery team. Reporting into the Principal Engineer –
- Communications &
- Control Systems, your role will and be instrumental in managing all activities relating to Operational Technology (OT) and auditing our standards and plans for cybersecurity and OT software configuration. The role will work closely with our Information Technology team to monitor and action all security operations and infrastructure and analyse relevant alerts, trends and impacts and mitigate associated risks.

This critical role will interface closely with our internal and external stakeholders to ensure our unique systems have the required protocols in place and oversee the management of our OT systems administration and the fundamental governance and enterprise systems are in place, to enable a robust and risk-based approach to our cyber security strategy.

Key Responsibilities Include,



But Not Limited To

- Manage, implement, and audit the organisational policy, standards, plans and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cybersecurity and OT software configuration within MTS for clarity of responsibilities and understanding by all staff.
- Manage all activities related to the configuration management of OT systems within the MTS technology environments including incident response and systems administration.
- Monitor internal and external OT policy compliance to ensure that MTS vendors, third parties and employees are working within the framework of MTS polices/standards and undertake all planned audits.
- Monitor and action all security operations and infrastructure within MTS, understand and analyse relevant alerts, trends and impacts to protect the MTS digital security footprint.
- Manage MTS security tools and technology via shared responsibility with service partners and with any relevant Principal Engineers and Delivery Managers.
- Manage the OT Systems Administration, Profile and User Management to ensure appropriate controls are in place and adhered to.




- Manage the OT systems configuration and be the key stakeholder for OT systems changes, including patches, upgrades, renewals and the proposed expansion/interface works.

Desired Skills And Experience

About You You hold qualifications in Engineering, Cyber Security, Computer Systems or a related discipline, supported by a proven background in industrial automation and control systems, and experience in OT network communications and industrial protocols such as Modbus, CIP, Profinet and OPC UA. You are also an effective communicator coupled with the ability to drive outcomes through collaboration and robust stakeholder management in changing complex environments .
