Primary objective To support the function of the Operations Unit through the completion of report assessments and preparation of correspondence.

Context statement The Operations unit supports the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption (ICAC) in the exercise of their powers and functions by receiving and reviewing all reports received from the public and public officers.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Prepare and distribute correspondence with reporters, referral entities and agencies regarding the receipt, assessment and

inquiry into reports.
1. Ensure compliance with and assist in the development of relevant policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
2. Collect, analyse, assess and make recommendations on information and reports notified or referred to the Office of the

ICAC.
- Receive reports and problem solve queries in relation to reporting and the assessment process.
- Record,



monitor and assist in the management of referrals into and out of the Office of the ICAC, including following up with referral entities for reports and implementation of agreed recommendations.
- Provide operational and administrative support to the Operations unit and office.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Demonstrated ability to organise workload, determine priorities, work independently, and use judgement and initiative to

manage multiple tasks in order to meet deadlines.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation, preferably in a complaints or investigation workplace, including the ability to break down and explain legislative concepts and requirements,
- Well-developed file management, and record keeping skills including proficiency in word processing, data recording and data management computer programs.
- Demonstrated ability to use tact, diplomacy and discretion when dealing with difficult and demanding people, sensitive issues and confidential matters.
- Demonstrated attention to detail especially when reviewing correspondence and reports.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and summarise complex information and make relevant recommendations.
