Boddington Hotel and Accommodation is seeking an experienced and reliable Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.

This is an excellent prospect for a skilled chef looking for a stable position in a friendly country hotel. The role is available on either a drive-in, drive-out or live-in basis, with accommodation provided on-site.

Key duties

- Assist the Head Chef with the daily operation of the kitchen

- Prepare and present high-quality meals consistently

- Supervise and support kitchen staff during service

- Help develop menus and daily specials

- Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation

- Manage stock levels and assist with ordering

- Minimise food waste and control kitchen costs

- Ensure food safety, hygiene and cleaning standards are maintained

- Assist with staff training and kitchen rostering

- Take responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence

About you





- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or an experienced Chef de Partie ready to step up

- Strong cooking, organisation and time-management skills

- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen

- Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements

- Reliable, professional and able to work as part of a team

- Willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

- Relevant cookery qualifications are preferred

- Salary of $70,000–$75,000, depending on experience
