J&M; Transport Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Owner Drivers with 8T 12 pallet trucks with full tailgates to join our dynamic transport and logistics team in Brisbane, QLD 4000. This is a contract-based position offering independence and flexibility for professional drivers who own or operate their own vehicles. As an Owner Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods whilst maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
This role is ideal for experienced drivers looking to build their own business whilst benefiting from our established client network and support systems.
Key responsibilities
1. Operate your own vehicle to transport and deliver goods to clients across Brisbane and surrounding regions
2. Plan and manage efficient delivery routes to meet customer requirements and timeframes
3. Ensure all goods are safely loaded, transported and unloaded in accordance with health and safety regulations
4. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel and other operational expenses
5. Conduct pre and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure your vehicle remains in safe working condition
6. Communicate professionally with clients and provide excellent customer service throughout the delivery process
7. Comply with all relevant transport regulations, road rules and company policies
8. Report any accidents, damages or issues promptly to management
9. Manage your own vehicle maintenance, insurance and compliance documentation
What we're looking for
1. A valid Australian driver's license with a clean driving record
2. Ownership or operation of a well-maintained vehicle suitable for commercial transport
3. Proven experience as a professional driver in courier, delivery or transport services
4. Knowledge of Brisbane geography and ability to navigate effectively
5.
Strong organizational and time management skills to meet delivery schedules
6. Excellent communication and customer service abilities
7. Reliability, professionalism and a safety-focused approach to all driving activities
8. Current vehicle insurance and registration appropriate for commercial use
9. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions whilst on the road
10. Physical fitness and capability to load and unload goods safely
